True Grit.

A stroll through Cleveland's Steel Yard.

Back To The Essence

Taking it back to my roots and returning to film. I like digital, but love the look of film as well. I will now be posting film images here as well as digital. Here are a couple of shots taken with my EOS 3, and regular Fuji Superia x-tra 400.

Fall In Ohio

Macro

Today my EF-S 60mm Macro lens arrived. I can see this lens is going to be a lot of fun. Here is a close up of my 7D, just messing around getting a feel for the new lens.

One of my uses for this lens will be for "ring shots" during weddings this summer.

Amazing Find

In my search for a high end film body, I went back and forward between the Canon EOS1n, and the EOS3. The 3 I had owned previously around 1998, so it had somewhat of a sentimental value to it.

As I searched eBay for days trying to find a mint condition sample of either camera, a newly listed EOS3 popped up. I was highly skeptical as it was advertised as being a mint/like new EOS3 body with a "Buy It Now" price of fifty dollars! Yes that's right, $50.00. Knowing full well these were going for $300.00 in mint condition, my scam radar went off.

After chatting with the seller for a bit however, I detected some sincerity, and decided to roll the dice. Low and behold, today a like new condition EOS3 showed up. I was shocked! Either the seller didn't know what she had, or she figured it was a film body and therefore wasn't worth much. So I scored a like new condition EOS3 body for fifty bucks! I win lol.
